Dress Up Free Postcards with Calligraphy
Posted by Brenna Malmberg
A little calligraphy definitely helps this free wolf postcard.
You know those free postcards that organizations like the Sierra Club send out about endanger animals or other causes? Instead of tossing them aside like useless educational mail, turn them into fun snail mail for a friend. Case in point: I have had this gray wolf postcard for years. Every time I flip through my stack of cards, it never strikes me as the right card for anyone. If I knew someone who wore a Three Wolf Moon shirt, I would have dropped in the mail a long time ago. Sadly, or luckily, I don't.
But with all this wintery mix happening back in the middle of the country, I thought why not cute it up with some festive calligraphy. Then it won't scare away its recipient. Voilá, I have a beautiful card. If you are thinking, but I can't do that. Sure you can. Doodle on the card in any form you want. Have fun with it.
Now, I have a fun, festive postcard ready for the mail.
But wait there's more! I have another lovely Sierra Club that I would like to send out soon. This postcard features a Florida panther, which is one of the most endangered large mammals in the world (or at least was when this postcard was printed). Any panthers fans out there? If so, be the first person to comment, and this card plus some yet-to-be-inked calligraphy can be yours. (Cole, you probably shouldn't enter this AMAZING contest because mailing to our own apartment would be a little ridiculous.)
If you are the first and you don't think I have your address, please send me your address via email so I can be sure to get this to your mailbox.
I also have a panther postcard. Who likes panthers?
