NCAA Gymnastics Championships Bracket Challenge
Posted by Brenna Malmberg
Here's the 2015 National Collegiate Women's Gymnastics Championship bracket.
Most people know about NCAA men's basketball and the March Madness that leads up to the championship game. But, there is another collegiate sport happening right now: NCAA women's gymnastics. These ladies compete around the country in their own bracket that starts at regionals, then moves to semifinals and then the Super Six, which will crown the national champion.
You now have a chance to enter a bracket tournament to win an original work of calligraphy art from yours truly. To enter, download this bracket PDF. Next fill in all the text boxes. You should pick six teams on each side for the semifinal round. From those 12 teams, pick six to move onto the Super Six (the little lines in the middle), and then chose your national champion at the top. The first rounds earns you 10 points per correct answer. The second round earns you 20 points per correct answer. And if you get the national champion correct, that's 120 points, my friend.
Once you have it filled out and saved, email your bracket to me (Brenna). To be eligible, brackets must be sent by April 3, which is this Friday! If you have any questions, feel free to email me as well.
This isn't men's basketball, so sadly, I don't have some easy ESPN bracket machine. This system will have to do. Also, if you want to know more about the teams, you can do some research on the Road to Nationals site. As the competition moves forward, I'll post stats on how people are doing in the tournament. And, disclaimer, I am entering a bracket, but will rule myself out of any winnings. I look forward to crafting some custom calligraphy art for someone. Good luck!
p.s. If you just want to watch gymnastics, you can find lots of videos like the one below on YouTube, like these of Florida.
Her name is Brenna and she got a perfect score!
