Overblessified Thursday: Great Moms

Bambi quote for Grammie.
Phew. I am finally all set up in California, so I can start posting fun blogs again. But before I get to all the photos I snapped during our cross county trip, I say thanks to Mom. I did not forget about them! They had cards in the mail so I couldn't spoil any surprise before we left Virginia. Plus, on Mother's Day we hiked into the Grand Canyon, which left seeking a bed for sleep instead of a keyboard for blogging.
I took the mom holiday as a chance to spread some calligraphy cheer. For my Grammie, who really likes deer and Bambi, I found an adorable song lyric from the movie. She also had a book arrive on her Kindle. From pink-craft cards and romance page-turners, Grammie had a great Grammie's Day!
Happy Grammie's Day!
For my Mom, I penned a Winnie the Pooh quote. I ended up with a cute one about love. After a few trial runs, I gave it a go with my new purple ink and capped off the edges with washi tape. The quote art plus McDonald's goodness equaled a happy Mom. Now she can enjoy more frappes, and get more use out of her gift card thanks to the coupons.

Present-filled card for Mom.
She loves her frappes.
Then, I sent two special Mother's Day cards to Janice and Lavonne, awesome ladies at TFC Connection that I have know for many many years. Someone came up with the idea that their TFC kids should send them Mother's Day cards. What a great idea! I packed their cards with a little bookmark that can remind them of their name and just how great they are to all the teens that have passed through their lives.

Plus, a little bookmark.
I hope all the mom's had a great Mother's Day, and I hope you reminded your Mom that you love her. :) I love mine!
