I designed personal address labels for all that mail I send out.

It's not exactly breaking news, but we have a new address and apartment. We made the move so that Cole can't make a quick sprint over to the law school instead of trekking through the gas station, across the road, under the railroad tracks, into a parking lot and toward the law school. Phew. Already just sounds easier.

With the new home, I took the opportunity to make personalized address labels. I went to Vistaprint, found the size and got to designing. No real reason for the splashy paint design that resembles a funny looking pepper; it's just cute. I have a handful of sheets of them, but they will go to good use. I send mail like a crazy person.

I also wanted to make sure those that send me mail most often or would perhaps need my address would have it so I whipped up some moving announcements. You might remember I had a little practice in moving announcements because I made Janel some for her Western Kansas move. You can check them out in my Stationary Creations album.

Janel had a pretty simple design, so I was lucky. I decided to test my skills and shape the University of Virginia School of Law in Illustrator. So, that postcard is a little view of what is just five minutes from our little place. It's probably prettier than my design gave it credit, but I will let you decide.

We moved closer to the law school. Yay!

And just an FYI, I had some terrible times with Vistaprint, so have an eagle eye when you order anything from them. They messed up my order twice. Luckily, it all ended up fine because they refunded the money. The sad news was they never did get my order right, even on try two after talking to customer service.

Regardless of the poor printing experience this time around, I really do like making personalized moving announcements and address labels. It will be a while until I do it for us again. We were probably be around here for a little while, which is fine by me. But, I am for hire. Give me a shout and we can work out a deal. My contact information is on the home page.
