For our first weekend in California, we took in some nature on the Sweeney Ridge hiking trail. Cole decided on this fairly easy hike, because: 1. My hiking legs can only take so much. 2. An old Nike missile control facility awaited exploration at the top.

The day ended with a cruise into the city to see the Golden Gate Bridge. I'll have more city pictures after this weekend. I've been promised a, urban sightseeing adventures, which includes a free day at the California Academy of Sciences.

Cole picked this particular trail because of the old Cold War infrastructure.

Phrase seemed appropriate.

This trail was a breeze compared with the Yosemite hike we took the following week.
