Trivia Tuesday: Bugging Out

Posted by Brenna Malmberg

Ladybug

Say hi, to a ladybug I saw on my walk.

Michele is on fire. Two weeks of winning in a row. If you happened to miss the quiz all about 22, feel free to give it a go.

Now we are ending October, and it's started to really become fall around here. The temperatures are dropping, which means the bugs are trying to find a new, warm home. They are NOT welcome here. I am not a big fan. I dart away at the buzz of bees, spiders creep me out, and I scream when long antennas poke out and surprise me. Ask my mom if you don't believe me. She had to hear that last one over the phone. In honor of all my creepy friends, it's bug trivia. Good luck, and don't forget to comment at the bottom with your score! Who knows, you might pull out a win and beat Michele.

1. In A Bug's Life, what is Flik?
2. When entomologists use a common name for Coccinellidae, what do they call them?
3. How old was the oldest tarantula?
4. What's the scientific name for a cricket's chirp?
5. Highest jumping insect would be ... ?
6. How many insects are in the world?
7. What's the national insect of the United States?
8. What's Virginia's state insect?
9. Per hive, how many queen bees are there?
10. Ants, or the sister of your parent as Cole said, live in groups called a colony or ... ?

How did you do? Comment below on how you did! Thanks.

Stick insect

Sad news. Remember how I said I screamed at a bug? Well, it was this one, who died by morning. I didn't do it.
