Trivia Tuesday: Hiking
Posted by Brenna Malmberg
I made it to the top of Hawksbill Peak!
To celebrate all of my recent hiking adventures, and by all, I really just mean one 8 mile hike that nearly killed me, let's do some hiking trivia.
Good luck on this week's trivia, and don't forget to comment at the end on how you do.
1. Name the tallest point in Virginia.
2. According to the American Recreation Foundation, how many Americans hiked a trail in 2007?
3. How many states does the Appalachian Trail pass through?
4. Which state has the most miles of Appalachian Trail?
5. What's the success rate of Appalacian Trail hiker who make it from start to finish?
6. What's the longest trail you can take, spanning 6,800 miles?
7. Tenzing Norgay and who first climbed Mount Everest?
8. In the United Kingdom, hiking can also be called?
9. How big is the largest hiking boot?
10. What was my first Virginia hike? (Hint: I posted a blog about it.)
How did you do? Comment below on how you did! Thanks.
Happy trails.
