26th Anniversary Celebration at The Sundowner
Posted by Brenna Malmberg
Happy 26th, Mom and Dad!
My parents are up for an adventure any time, so what better way to celebrate 26 years of marriage than The Sundowner in Speed, Kansas. Cole and I joined them Aug. 20 to celebrate at this newly open establishment west of my hometown. From the start, I was skeptical, and well, this place didn't really let me down. In short, if you are looking for a classy, clean place to dine, this probably isn't it. If you are going for cheap, local and simple, this is the place. You can read more about our experience over on my Yelp review of The Sundowner. I mean, how could I not help put this place on the map.
Other than that, we enjoyed some laughs and had a good time celebrating their 26th anniversary. :) If you are ever in the area and the place is still open, now you have knowledge about what you are getting yourself into.
They are … open.
On the way to our seats, we walk through the "kitchen."
Quite an atmosphere inside.
Here's my burger and fries. I'm the boring one.
The rest of the crew went for cheese fries all over their burgers or pony shoe style.
Mom and Dad commemorate 26 years at this classy place with Cole and I.
