Calligraphy and Purple-tape Envelopes
Posted by Brenna Malmberg
Grammie receives snail mail addressed with calligraphy.
Today, a co-worker reminded me about my lack of calligraphy posting, and no, not in a snobby, "Geez, why haven't you been posting? Post already."-type of way. But a, "Oh I loved my card, and I remember you were working on calligraphy."-way. That meant, I of course needed to bring calligraphy back to my blog.
How cute are my purple, spotted tape and little zebra.
pssst. In case you are seeking more of my calligraphy, head over to my Instagram feed. I post calligraphy there with greater frequency. Regardless, I am aiming to post more calligraphy here as well.
Anyway ... this card to my Grammie ranks high in my list of favorite snail mail sends. I'm a sucker for purple and cute animals, so purple washi tape and a shimmery zebra combine for a win. I have to thank Cindy for the amazing tape all the way from Japan. The Instagram image below highlights the other stellar crafting supplies she sent me.
I have to hand the font to Debi Sementelli over on Creative Market. Cantoni is amazing, and I don't give it all the credit and beauty it deserves, but I try.
These Ms are beautiful and loopy.
Just enjoying.
But like I mentioned in my whispering aside, I am going to post more calligraphy on here. Stay tuned. I am always up to some scripting, even if it's only for my snail mail.
To date, one of my favorite cards.
