J&D Timeline Save the Date
Posted by Brenna Malmberg
Today, Janel and Dillon received their first wedding RSVP, which means the invitations have arrived. But, before I display those shimmering pieces of design, I have their save the dates.
The KU grads show off their engagement photos on their save the dates.
In less than two months, I'll be back in Kansas to celebrate with them. Woot! I've had the date saved for a long time, but for everyone else, I created these timeline save the dates. Using ideas from the bride, relationship milestones and wedding colors, we settled on this monogram card.
I really enjoyed working with great photos of them from KU's campus. I might be bias, but you can't go wrong with Jayahwk campus photos. Ever.
After the elaborate front design, we decided on a simple monogram and date strip to decorate the back. She sent them out in envelopes, so she didn't need a regular postcard back.
A monogram and date strip decorates the back of the save the date card.
And where did she get them printed? Vistaprint. Sure, they don't have tons of options and might not be the fanciest, but you can't beat the price. They always have sales and extra promotional codes. I've used them many times myself for our wedding and Christmas cards. But, if you are looking for classier options, you can work with a printer or other online store such as Wedding Paper Divas.
Be on the watch for more wedding pieces in my Wedding Stationery portfolio. I will have Janel and Dillon's invitations to display soon (I want to give guests a chance to see the printed version first, including myself). Additionally, I've been working on another Kansas wedding decked in purple, yellow, burlap and lace — what a great theme! Save the dates were just finalized, and invitations and such will come before May.
If you or anyone else you know is looking for some custom wedding stationery, contact me. I'd love to be a part of the big day.
