Malmbergs take on the Capitol.

Today I have my last set of photos from Virginia. We already stopped by wine and Monticello, hiking, and graduation. This last bunch is from Richmond, where we toured the Virginia State Capitol and Monument Avenue.

Cole and I have been here before, back in 2013 with Cole's grandparents. Luckily, we made it to the Capitol in time for a tour. Plus, the column construction was completed, so we got to see the front of the building this time.

It's another TJ statue. The man also planned out this big, white building.

They don't meet in these house chambers anymore, but the room makes for a great tour stop.

Today, the house meets inside these chambers.

Our tour guide knew tons about the Capitol and its history.

On the grounds of the Capitol, a Washington statue stands tall at the top of the hill.

After the Capitol, we drove down Monument Avenue and stopped to see the statue of Robert E. Lee.
