The World in Our Bathroom

Posted by Brenna Malmberg

Today, the world spans our bathtub. Our world map shower curtain made its way into the apartment after one of our first shopping outings. Thanks to Bed Bath & Beyond, we can study the world when showering.

No better shower curtain.

So, this probably makes us a little nerdy, but what did you expect?! Cole likes sources of knowledge, especially when they can help him brush up on world capitals. And me, well, I was a geography major, made maps and like the world. It's a pretty cool place. I encourage you to get your own if you like any of the above. . . .

UVA Is Not KU

Posted by Brenna Malmberg

Cole and I enjoy our first UVA basketball game.

Well, I attended my first college basketball game outside of Allen Fieldhouse. Honestly, I wasn't expecting anything spectacular (sorry, UVA) because nothing can compare to my Jayhawks or AFH. Let's be honest.

Regardless, the John Paul Jones Arena doesn't disappoint in the classy department as far as facilities go. It's definitely new and offers good viewing. Granted, I wasn't in the nosebleed section, so I can't vouch for that. But from our corner spot in the student section, Cole and I watched UVA take on No. 19 NC State. . . .

NBA League Pass

Posted by Brenna Malmberg

This week I watched and followed my fantasy players thanks to a free week of NBA League Pass. If you love the NBA and can afford $24.99 a month, I would recommend it. Anyone else had it or used it before? As for us, we just had to savor each minute, possession and overtime that played out.

Right now, I am watching my last games, the Blazers versus the Clippers. It's a little sad to know that I won't be able to root for my players the same way as the playoffs near. So, go, J.J. Hickson, go! . . .

Snow Freak-out

Posted by Brenna Malmberg

Well, I decided I should break this blog drought, and what better way than a little Virginia precipitation.

Less than a week after being back home, Virginia decided it would welcome us with cold and snow. Maybe we didn't get enough last month back in Nebraska, but I disagreed. Anyways, here is what Thursday morning looked like here from our apartment.

Thursday morning Cole left for class, and we were both surprised by this white stuff. . . .
