Exciting news! I have photo evidence of Flat Brenna's first adventures. Almost all of the Flat Brennas have made their landings, so get ready for updates on their whereabouts.
The first adventures for Flat Brenna came from two places pretty close together: Phillipsburg and Stockton, Kan. If you are not familiar with those places, check out the blue map dots below. . . .

I designed personal address labels for all that mail I send out.
It's not exactly breaking news, but we have a new address and apartment. We made the move so that Cole can't make a quick sprint over to the law school instead of trekking through the gas station, across the road, under the railroad tracks, into a parking lot and toward the law school. Phew. Already just sounds easier. . . .

DIY Ribbon photo wall brightens up my home office.
When we moved into our new apartment, I got the smaller, second bedroom for an office. Yay! I no longer had to work all day in the living room. The separate space meant it needed a personal, Brenna touch. So I Pinterested around and came across the idea to make photo garland. I didn't follow that blog to a tee though. . . .

What you all have been wondering. What does Flat Brenna look like? Well, me, of course. Or at least I hope. The wait is over! Meet Flat Brenna :)
First, I should note that this is 100 percent original artwork, minus the cute Jayhawk. I am trying to get better with my graphic design skills, so I create to practice and explore. What better way than to attempt to draw yourself. I used a picture of myself for reference, and then got to work imagining the rest. I'll admit, I didn't think I would be able to do it. I figured I would end up with a weird looking person, not resembling me. But in the end, I think she turned out all right. Let me know what you think. . . .

Flat Brenna made her first mail trip this weekend. I bundled her up, attached a message and postage, and off she went. And sources say (Jenny), that she has landed in her first location — Iowa State. This Flat Brenna is about 7 1/2 inches tall, making her about nine times smaller than the real me. I figured that was a nice portable Flat Brenna size.
I promise to unveil her portraits once the second Flat Brenna arrives in Garden City with Janel — who by the way, already has high-flying plans for her. Be on the watch for Flat Brenna updates, and the orange and purple banner on my blog will alert you of them. Until then, Flat Brenna waves hello. . . .
