The Giants play at AT&T Park in San Francisco looking out across the bay.
My day started with the oh-so-familiar SportsCenter tune — DaDaDa DaDaDa — so, it only seems right to cap off the day with baseball, even though this post has nothing to do with the Yoenis Cespedes trade. . . .

After months of competition drought, gymnastics hits the stage Saturday for the 2014 Secret U.S. Classic. To get my gymnastics fix, I've been surviving on YouTube videos from camp or rhythmic/trampoline meets. Not the same.
I don't really need any promo video to get excited about this event, but you might. Keep in mind, this event leads up to the P&G Gymnastics Championships Aug. 21-24, so not everyone will be there or competing all four events. But still, it's real gymnastics. . . .

While not ideal, we could at least see the bridge isn't of orange fog.
To cap off a great summer in California, we had two more visitors. Kady, and her friend Kimber hopped on a plane from Omaha to San Fran to spend a week in the Bay Area. Cole and I mostly had to work during the week, but we still managed to sneak in a little fun with them. . . .

Redwoods are pretty.
Don't mind me, I'm just here eating my free 7-Eleven Twix ice cream bar so I can take my antibiotics. Woo, I'm a cool cat, I know. Regardless, I have a pile of images from the summer that never made an appearance in proximity to their actual happening. Just because I didn't post them earlier doesn't mean I don't have a fondness for them, which is why I am bringing them back into my view. . . .

Alcatraz Island tour with the family.
From July 3 to July 7, my family visited sunny San Francisco, taking in SO many sights. I take a bazillion pictures during adventures, which makes it hard to condense an awesome vacation into one photo blog, but I tried. I'l vomit all the rest of the photos on Facebook (they aren't all blog worthy or needed here), so you'll have to make your way over there for the longer photo display. . . .
