J&D Timeline Save the Date

Posted by Brenna Malmberg

Today, Janel and Dillon received their first wedding RSVP, which means the invitations have arrived. But, before I display those shimmering pieces of design, I have their save the dates.

Janel & Dillon Timeline Save the Date

The KU grads show off their engagement photos on their save the dates.

In less than two months, I'll be back in Kansas to celebrate with them. Woot! I've had the date saved for a long time, but for everyone else, I created these timeline save the dates. Using ideas from the bride, relationship milestones and wedding colors, we settled on this monogram card. . . .

26th Anniversary Celebration at The Sundowner

Parents' 26th Anniversary - The Sundowner

Happy 26th, Mom and Dad!

My parents are up for an adventure any time, so what better way to celebrate 26 years of marriage than The Sundowner in Speed, Kansas. Cole and I joined them Aug. 20 to celebrate at this newly open establishment west of my hometown. From the start, I was skeptical, and well, this place didn't really let me down. In short, if you are looking for a classy, clean place to dine, this probably isn't it. If you are going for cheap, local and simple, this is the place. You can read more about our experience over on my Yelp review of The Sundowner. I mean, how could I not help put this place on the map. . . .

My Happy Mail Swap items are ready to be sent.

Back in June, I saw an image flash on my Instagram feed about a Happy Mail Swap. As many of you know, I love sending and receiving mail, so basically this event was tailored to my interests. All I had to do was sign up with an email, wait for my person, buy paper/craft supplies and send a package — all totally doable and fun things. . . .

Trivia Tuesday: Peach Season

Chiles Peach Orchard

Starting the school year off by picking peaches.

Trivia Tuesday is back. It's been forever, well at least since our move to California. But now we are back in Virginia, and I might as well get in the swing of things just like all these students around here. In honor of our weekend activity and the sweet fruit that grows here, I bring you peach trivia. . . .
