Even though I am an adult without a spring break, I am luckily married to a student. So spring break here we come! We picked an unusual location: Morgantown, W.Va. Why? Kansas basketball.

West Virginia might be in the Big 12, but they are way over here, only 4.5 hours from us. We bought tickets early and drove the windy roads to the game. The drive proved most sketchy. We traveled backroads with giant pot holes that tried to eat Hondie and followed by towns with chain-link, welcome signs. Let's just say, we didn't feel that welcome. . . .

Sigh, as you have probably seen on the weather, the East Coast snuggles in under another blanket of snow. Schools closed, including the law school, which leaves me working while others around me bum. Thankfully, I avoid the winter slush and only peek through the blinds as it piles up. . . .

Cole's valentine arrives from Georgia.

Thanks to the winter storm that blew through last week, Cole's special Valentine's Day card just arrived today. As I mentioned in my Valentine's Day post, I sent his valentine off to Georgia so it could receive the special Romeo and Juliet stamp. . . .

A blanket of snow shuts down classes at the University of Virginia.

The East Coast was hit with lots of snow, and we were right in the middle of it all. Not much excitement for us during this winter storm. It was 1,000 time better than last year's icy disaster that left us without power for a week.

All the snow become CAValanche 2014 around here. Virginia is the Cavaliers ... get it. I also saw Snowtunda, like the Rotunda on main campus. You can view our adventures below. Hope you are staying warm wherever you are. I know I am ready for sunny days and higher temperatures. . . .
