Happy Mother's Day!

Posted by Brenna Malmberg

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there! But a special Happy Mom's Day goes out to my mom, Tonya!

With some help from Kid President, I am going to tell you about my mom!

Thankfully, we didn't have to eat too much meatloaf, so she already had that one down. But she always stinkin' loves us and makes us dance, hence the driveway dance parties, dancing in the car and especially just while walking around. My dad will vouch for all that. . . .

Last week when my family visited, I spent some quality time with my Grandma in Union Station. Between the people toting luggage and the cheese fries wafting delicious, the building occasionally rumbles. It's the rumble of a train. Lots of trains.

I also spend 99 percent of my work day dealing with trains. So while I was killing time, I turned into a train artist.

Enjoy!

Family at airport

Dad, mom and Skye visit Cole and I in Charlottesville.

Look who came to visit Cole and I in Charlottesville! My parents and grandparents chugged in via Amtrak from Holdrege, Neb. Then two days later, my brother, Skye landed in Charlottesville without his luggage after an interesting series of flights. Let's just say that at one point they had to turn around because of a fire in the engine. . . .
