Cole rides on THE red pony from Steinbeck's "The Red Pony."
Remember back in September, I was like ... work takes all my time. Not much has changed, but I have finally gotten around to posting these fun little pics from our Salinas/Santa Cruz adventure. We made the trek down in September before Cole started work — one last hurrah?!? . . .

Welcome to the 2015 Re:Make Festival presented by Brit + Co.
Back a few weeks ago in September — Sept. 12 to be exact — Cole and I drove up to San Francisco to attend the 2015 Re:Make Festival presented by Brit + Co. I signed up for my tickets months and months ago because I so wanted to go. And we did! It was basically a big craft fair full of free diy projects and booths and booths of handmade items, such as stationery, bags and jewelry. . . .

The ground looks how I feel.
What is life? Apparently just work for me.
I was sad when I learned the whole month had passed and I hadn't written a blog. Very sad. So here I am, at the last hour of the month, writing something — while tiny and short — still something.
Work can basically sum up the month, sadly. I did do a few things, like the Brit RE:MAKE fair, Salinas and Santa Cruz, and hung out with some awesome Silicon Valley peeps. Someday I will share about that. That someday is not today though. Today, you just get this (and that photo of my shoes — typical). . . .

This sign marks the entrance to Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve.
Brenna has given me the go ahead to post a blog about one aspect of my post-bar exam existence. She has given me the opportunity to post a blog before, but I am just now taking her up on the offer. While I can't hope to match her writing prowess (and let's not talk about photo taking skills), I can at least share details of an enjoyable hike that I undertook last week. . . .

The view of the Golden Gate Bridge is beautiful from Baker Beach.
Last weekend, we drove up to San Francisco after church to visit Baker Beach. (Yes, I realize how amazing it is that we can head up to San Francisco after evening church.) I've really been wanting to go to the beach since we arrived in June. Unfortunately because of the bar and then work, we hadn't made it there yet. Things finally aligned and we journeyed north to take in the sights. I've seen a ton of photos from Baker Beach, and couldn't wait to snap my own of the Gold Gate Bridge from that side. We had seen it from the northern side both at night and during the day, but not from the southern side. . . .
