Photo Friday: Foxy Baby Shower Card
Posted by Brenna Malmberg
Present and card ready for the baby shower.
What do I do after the Jayhawks win their first real game of the season? Write a blog. Quite celebratory, right‽ Hey, we all celebrate in our own way. (p.s. meet my new favorite punctuation mark, the interrobang.)
I felt this super cute, foxy baby shower card I made was just the item to blog on the occasion. This card went to a couple expecting a baby boy in December. I was inspired to create a fall, fox card after we found an adorable little outfit with a fox front and footies. We weren't the only ones that thought this little boy would like foxes; another couple presented him a fox hat. He can literally be covered in fox from head to toe now — lucky kid.
In addition to the custom card, I drew a folded ribbon banner on the outside. It took a few pencil tries to get it just right, but after that a little ink polished it off nicely. If you want to learn how, head over to this Hand-Drawn Banner Tutorial on The Postman's Knock's blog.
My efforts on this card probably don't surprise anyone much. I love cards. Which, get excited, our Christmas cards arrived today!!! Yes, three exclamation marks doesn't even express all my excitement on that matter. I am ready for Christmas, who cares if it is even Nov. 14.
Happy Friday!
How cute is this little outfit, which inspired the card.
I've been practicing my folded ribbon.
How great are these fall colors.
Disclaimer: I did not draw that cute fox. But, I saw it, and it was so cute that I had to use it.
With the card attached, I should probably take it inside and get ready for the shower.
I based my card on the cute, foxy outfit we found. I hope this little boy is okay with being foxy.
