Senior Night: KU vs. Texas
Posted by Brenna Malmberg
Last weekend, I made it back to the best place to watch college basketball: Allen Fieldhouse. This time, I brought two Nebraska alumni along to witness the awesomeness that is Allen Fieldhouse. Needless to say, they both walked away with an appreciation for Allen Fieldhouse and those crazy Jayhawk fans. Whether they were swayed to the good side, I am not sure.
Luckily for me and them, I still know some Jayhawks, so we had decent seats compared to where our seats really were, the shadowed area in the corner where people sit the whole game. Lame.
And of course, I took lots of pictures. Check out a glimpse of senior night, but for your sake, I hope you were there in person.
Senior night photos can be found under the photography tab. Make sure to check out both albums.
I got to watch four years of Conner Teahan basically sitting on the bench, along with Justin Juenemann for most of that. I saw Tyshawn Taylor transform into a player who can make plays and stay under control, not just flail around with the ball trying to show off some skills. Bill Self had a few words for Thomas Robinson, but no words from the junior himself. We all know that was his last time in Allen Fieldhouse most likely, too.
Now it's time for March Madness. In a matter of minutes, we will know the first point for the Jayhawks on their road to the Final Four.
Rock Chalk.

Watching a game in Allen Fieldhouse is a far different experience than watching on TV or even going to a game at a different locale. It's neat to see all of the banners and understand how much basketball means to the 16,000+ in attendance. I'd recommend it to anyone, Jayhawk fan or not.
