Until my mom, a coffee drinker, informed me that Saturday, Sept. 29 is National Coffee Day, I was unaware the peppy holiday even existed. To celebrate, caffeinated drinking establishments across the country are celebrating with free coffee or coupons for their customers.

I say, if you are a coffee drinker, enjoy. My mom was rather excited McDonald's was celebrating all week by offering free cups of the bitter drink. And if you wondered, I will not be taking free or discounted sips. I quite dislike the taste and smell of the stuff.
