Watercolor Tech Wallpaper
Posted by Brenna Malmberg
Watercolor circles brighten up my desktop.
With the spooky month of October over and winter approaching, I am doing what I can to brighten up my workday. Per usual, I have a new tech wallpaper, and this one features bright, happy watercolors.
I turned to the medium digitally after a few of the blogs I follow featured watercolor. The first blog, Blog.SpoonGraphics, offered 25 free watercolor circle textures. Amazing. As you can see, I scattered them around, added some text, and presto, I have the most cheerful desktop wallpaper known to my screen.
The second blog, The Postman's Knock, featured an artist and all her watercolor knowledge. While I didn't create anything specifically with this post, I might in the future. Before this very informative blog post, I never thought about using watercolors because, well, they were a mystery. Now, I could go buy a watercolor set and feel like I knew what I was buying. Would I know how to use it? Meh, that's debatable. But, at least I would know what I was buying.
After these watercolor influences, I felt inspired. The inspiration led to a phone lock screen as well. I finally ditched the "California Knows How to Party" look for an Ephesians verse set into purple watercolor. Honestly, I need something positive heading into winter that didn't make me miss sunshine and blue skies. This pretty purple glow does the trick.
Now, a bright purple glow reminds me that I'm God's workmanship.
And seriously, if you are looking for a custom wallpaper or phone image, I can make you a deal. Just drop me an email. Isn't everything better when it's pretty!?!

I love the images watercolors leave behind. It is a difficult, yet amazing media to work with!
