Posted by Brenna Malmberg
You either looked at the photo above and thought, oh, is it the Olympics already … or were glued to your computer at 7 a.m. Eastern watching the U.S. women win a gold at the 2014 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. Don't worry if you fall in that first group, so do 99.9 percent of people. Not me — I'll get out of bed early to watch gymnastics. Catch the are blood moon? Yeah, no, that one didn't happen.
If you are bummed you missed this amazing display of athleticism and grace, you can watch every routine on USA Gymnastics' Youtube channel.
In case you are more into live sports, you haven't missed out on all of the 2014 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships action. You can still see the all-around and event final competitions. Here's the schedule (you might want to make a pot of coffee or drink a Red Bull to be alert at these times.
- Men's all-around: Oct. 9 from 7-9:30 a.m. EST
- Women's all-around: Oct. 10 from 7-9 a.m. EST
- Event finals (Men: floor, pommel horse and still rings; Women: vault and uneven bars): Oct. 11 from 1-4:20 a.m. EST
- Event finals (Men: vault, parallel bars and high bars; Women: beam and floor): Oct. 11 from 1-4:20 a.m. EST
Terrifying times, I know. But maybe the below images from USA Gymnastics and a stellar floor routine from Simone Biles will tempt you.
