Family Bay Area Road Trip

The fog wouldn't lift while our visitors tour the Bay Area, but what you can see is still pretty cool.	Boats cruise around the bay to get tourists just a little closer to sights, such as Alcatraz.	Tickets sell out early for Alcatraz, so we enjoy out boat deck views of the island and national park.
Cole and the Golden Gate Bridge enjoy the foggy day.	Our boat tour sails right under the iconic bridge.	Seagulls glide alongside the boat above the view of the city.
Kady and Maggie shop; I take photos. This is a typical scene when you bring me along.	Kady is so excited to ride a cable car across town.	We brave the traffic and drive down to Santa Cruz for sandy beaches and a ride-filled boardwalk.
Palm trees soak in some Santa Cruz sun.	Kady snaps pictures of the waves as they roll into the beach.	People of all ages, especially the little ones, enjoy the toasty sand. The water doesn't offer the same warm greeting.
Boardwalk staff take the job seriously, even when everyone else is having fun.	Cole and Bud race motorcycles in the noisy arcade.	Kady, Maggie and Michele watch the waves from the pier at Santa Cruz.
The park ranger gives a history lesson as we enter Muir Woods.	The redwood stretch tall up toward the sun.	Kady ponders the wonders of nature. :)
The trees make you feel really small.	A large mosaic welcomes visitors to the Stanford Memorial Church.	It's time for Frisbee after a Stanford tour.
