Memorial Day Celebrations 2013

To celebrate Memorial Day, Cole and I joined up with his parents and sisters to visit the National Zoo.

The D.C. zoo is known for its pandas. The girl panda snacks on bamboo outside.

Then we hiked over to the Washington National Cathedral.

On the cathedral grounds, there is a beautiful garden.

The cathedral was started in 1907.

The cathedral was finished on Sept. 29, 1990.

The cathedral is mostly built with Indiana limestone.

After touring the inside, you can go up to the observation deck. You can see a lot of D.C. from up there.
