The Huskers take on Denver in their first meet of the season by starting on bars, scoring a 49.3 as a team on the event. In college gymnastics, six gymnasts compete and the top five scores and used for the total.

Beam can be the meet breaker, but not for the Huskers this day. The team scored a 49.35 on beam on Jan. 13, 2012, at the Devaney Center in Lincoln, Neb.

Flipping to a victory, the Huskers display grace and power as they tumble across the diagonal. Floor, their last event, earned the Huskers a 49.35.

The Huskers finished off the event with a win over Denver and personal victory by earning their highest score at an opening meet, 197.375. Freshman Jessie DeZiel won the all-around award with a 39.57.
