Home Energy Internship Begins
Posted by Brenna Malmberg
Yesterday marked the start of a new, green adventure. For the next 12 weeks, I will be joining alongside America's Best Energy Team, a company dedicated to creating safe, comfortable, efficient and healthy homes. I'll be a blogger for them, all the while learning some tricks of the online marketing trade.
As you probably already know, I have Green Speak Monday blog posts where I spotlight eco-friendly ideas. Before that, I worked at Mother Earth News magazine, writing blogs about things such as saving fuel. All the while, I ran around campus gathering environmental news for the Kansan and Jayplay.
So, like I mentioned, I might have done this energy-saving, love-the-earth writing a time or two. But, I like it. Researching the topic sparks my brain. Writing purposeful words pulses life back into my fingers. It just feels nice. It's enjoying my field again.
So during the next few months, you will see this little logo pop up on my site. It means it is a blog that is also running on ABET's website. Hooray for people seeing and using my content (not that you all don't but ... ).
In other non-blogging news, I made the cute little, home energy logo, in case you were wondering.
I will keep you posted on how the internship is going, what I am learning and how you can get involved if you would like. But for now, I'll turn off the lights on this blog so we can all conserve some energy.
